As well as performing a series of concerts in Christchurch and other parts out the South Island, the Solid Energy Ensemble of Southern Opera are also available for private and corporate entertainment bookings.

The Singers
Each of the singers were chosen after an extensive auditioning process. Not only do they have outstanding voices but they also possess dynamic personalities which brings a great energy to all of our performances.

With an extensive repertoire list from popular opera chorus favourites to funny music theatre numbers or heart wrenching Popera love songs, the entertainment can be tailored to suit your event or theme.
With eight years experience in the Corporate Entertainment Industry, just tell us as much as you can about your event and we can guide you through what we think would work well and arrange a list of repertoire accordingly.
Book from one singer for that perfect aria whilst walking down the aisle, to fifteen singers to open a conference with a bang or perhaps six singers to entertain guests at a gala dinner with popular opera and musical theatre numbers sung in perfect harmony.

Piano Accompaniment
Our performances are usually accompanied by piano and this is included in our fee. If your venue does not have a tuned piano available then we can bring our own electronic keyboard.
Cost
Our costs vary depending on the number of singers utilized and the duration of the performance. We are happy to work within a given budget and special consideration will be given to charities in a fundraising event.
All of our singers are based in Christchurch and are available to travel to other destinations.
Production
Our singers are Opera singers are therefore do not need microphones in most circumstances. A little bit of production may be required to enhance the show such as a stage, lighting and for very large events in acoustically unkind venues speakers and microphones may be required. Our office will be able to advise you on your requirements.
